Jimi's Amps, Pedals, and Equiptment
Through the Chittlin circut days, with cats like Ike and Tina,
and alot of other hot acts of the day.
He used what ever he could find, mostly Fenders.
He recieved backing from Sunn amp.Headquartered
in Tuallitin Oregon.
The Model T's and model 2000's
Untill James Marshal esq, made him some Marshall amps,
like the one's he made Pete Townsen.
These came to be known as- The Plexi or the 1959 models.
And changed music forever.
Had Sunn had a voltage selector(110-220) on their amps,
Marshall might not have been arround.!!
P.S. Jimi bought these amps, (no endorsment deal) and three sets including bass(thats12stacks), stationed arround the world, so they wouldnt have to lugg one set everywhere.--This from an interview with JIm Marshall
yep your thinkin what im thinking
"are they still stuck in some wherehouses somewhere?"
The one that started it all The Marshall 1959 , or the Super100, (same thing)
notice the lack of the tranny type choke!
and differences in filter caps Thats old
